WHO ARE THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF SURGEONS?



The Royal College of Surgeons of England is a professional membership organisation and registered charity, which exists to advance patient care. They support over 28,000 members in the UK and internationally by improving their skills and knowledge, facilitating research, and developing policy and guidance.


Members are able to develop their knowledge and skills and receive support throughout their careers, access a range of up-to-date resources, access to leadership and development opportunities such as courses, careers advice and much more.





The RCS also regulates surgery and dentistry in England and Wales. The College is located at Lincoln's Inn Fields in London. It publishes multiple medical journals including the Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Faculty Dental Journal, and the Bulletin of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
