Accidental Injury...

This child fell from the first floor of his house and hit his head on an iron gate.

Due to profuse bleeding from the injury, the airway was secured initially at the time of admission and he was kept on elective ventilation. He was stabilized and underwent a blood transfusion.

Primary repair of the facial soft tissues along with reduction of nasal bones and fixation with monocryl sutures was done. Upper and lower nasal cartilages were repaired.
